How to Join Catholic War Veterans
Who Can Join
Becoming a member of the Catholic War Veterans (CWV) or the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary (CWVA) is a straightforward process. If you have served as an active duty, guard, or reserve member of any branch of the service with at least 90 days of service and have been honorably discharged, or if you are a family member of an active duty service member or veteran, you are encouraged to join our community. Simply complete the form below, and a local representative from one of our Catholic War Veterans posts will reach out to discuss affiliation options and guide you through the process of completing the Membership Application.
To Join CWV or CWVa You must be:
A Baptized Catholic And U.S. Citizen
Although we provide services to veterans of any faith, eligibility for membership in the Catholic War Veterans and Auxiliary is limited to those who are a baptized Catholic. Applicants must also be a citizen of the United States.
A Veteran Or Active Duty Status
Individuals who are veterans of any branch of the United States Armed Forces, including the National Guard and Reserves, and have received an honorable discharge are eligible. Active-duty personnel with at least 90 days of active duty are also eligible to join the Catholic War Veterans posts.
A Family Member Of A Veteran
Family members who are related within two degrees of a living or deceased veteran, or a currently serving member of the US Armed Forces, are eligible for membership in the Auxiliary. This includes parents, siblings, grandparents, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, spouses, and in-laws.
Types of Membership
CWV Membership
CWV Memberships are available to any veteran of any branch of service who is a baptized Catholic and holds an honorable discharge. Applicants must also be citizens of the United States to join our Catholic War Veterans organization.
CWV Auxiliary Membership
CWV Auxiliary Memberships are available to spouses, sons, daughters, or other Catholic relatives of a United States Military Veteran, allowing them to connect with our Catholic War Veterans post and support our mission.
CWV Honorary Membership
CWV Honorary Memberships are available for those interested in volunteer work who may not be veterans and/or Catholic but wish to support our Catholic War Veterans posts and the veterans we serve. We have numerous honorary members who contribute significantly through volunteer work, benefiting our Butz-Jobe Post 370 organization.
